About 2.7 million out of nearly 5 million vehicles in Viet Nam have been equipped with automatic toll payment tags (etag), making them eligible to use the electronic toll collection (ETC) system.
Over 200,000 vehicles are required to install cameras by December 31 following a Government Decree to monitor drivers and passenger conduct. However, the number of vehicles equipped with cameras is still low.
